In with the New, out with the Old

In with the New, out with the Old
14 February

As we find ourselves settling into this new year it could well be the right time to settle down on a new mattress. If you have had your mattress for any length of time and have found yourself not sleeping as well as previously then the answer could be that it is time to invest in a new one.  Our sleep will often affected by a number of issues but we can overlook checking our mattresses. As we age we can also  find that our circumstances have changed perhaps due to increasing aches and pains. Conventional wisdom reminds us that we spend approximately a third of our lives sleeping so it makes sense to ensure we get the best base and mattress available for our needs. It is generally advised that all mattresses should be replaced on average every seven or eight years. This can vary slightly depending on various factors such as the quality of mattress or its usage. Older mattresses are likely to have an increasing number of mites or bed bugs and over time collected large amounts of dead cells and fluids plus it is also important that all mattresses are regularly checked for signs of wear and for any sagging or tears.

Don’t forget to check your base as well as these will also wear out over time and not continue to provide the best support for your mattress. With our great range of bases now available in colours from duck egg to terracotta as well as the classic shades of grey and mink it could be the right time to choose a new base to compliment your room. Our bases and headboards are able to be covered with a material of your choice for that extra bespoke look.

And when your new bed and mattress do arrive are you left wondering what to do with your old bed? Why not get us to clear it when we deliver your new one? Here at Linx Beds we know how cumbersome and heavy bed bases and mattresses can be and how difficult it can sometimes be to arrange collection. Our experienced drivers know our products well so not only are they able to dismantle and remove your redundant beds but can ensure you are ready for a good night’s sleep by assembling your new one and clearing away all the packaging.
